Introducing For Now
The For Now Collection
In a world of constant occasions, where a sense of waiting is a minute lost nor found, Chris Liljenberg Halstrøm has designed For Now. An anticipated collection consisting of a sofa, a chair and a coffee table.
An ambidextrous take on the work place
Introduced at Orgatec 2016, the collection mirrors the industry's wide attitudinal shift to a more humane office interior, emphasizing cultures and individuals, in an ambidextrous take on the work place.
The aesthetic aim for the oak wrapped set, is to retain a tactile moment - as opposed to overlook one. Today, spaces in which we wait are vast and often filled with a visual vocabulary of nothingness. The For Now collection seeks to change that - often deliberately hostile - landscape into something more humane and essential.
Famous for interpreting situations, Liljenberg Halstrøm masterly uses her designs as resources to alter contexts, resulting in an immediate physical generosity added to previously detached environments. With The For Now collection she brings an interesting situational sensitivity, underpinning the renewal of emotional functionality in the public realm.
The regional oak and gently curved fabrics are crafted to perfection, allowing for the upholstery lines to be felt. This, to celebrate the impulse to touch and feel the furniture that we are surrounded by. As Chris Liljenberg Haltrøm puts it: "I wanted to transform the most dreaded times of absolutely still, to moments worth seizing hold of, obtaining human ownership of that public emptiness."
